Prof. Nelson Chen has received the 2018 HKIA Merit Award – Community Building from the Hong Kong Institute of Architects for St. Andrew’s Church Life Centre in Kowloon, a contemporary auditorium extension largely built underground on a 115-year-old heritage site. The design project also won the Honor Awards in Architecture from the AIA Hong Kong Chapter in 2015 and AIA International Region in 2016.
