The CSAT minor program equips students with thinking and making skills to meet the demands of changing professional contexts.It complements students’ major studies by helping them to build a creative portfolio for diverse career paths in creative media, spatial design, and the cultural industries.

Creative Thinking/Making through Technology

We see creativity as a fundamental quality across disciplines. The CSAT minor offers an exploratory journey for students from all majors with interests in media, space, arts, technology and beyond. The required courses are designed as a thematic progression from ideas to practice, leading to collective and individual projects shaped by students’ interests and aspirations. The programme also offers elective courses that engage with leading arts/technology practitioners and institutions, expanding classroom studies to professional practices.

Space, Media and Design

Grounded in the social and sustainability dimensions of arts and technology, the CSAT minor programme brings together expertise from the School of Architecture and the School of Journalism and Communication to explore the expanded field of creative production and the cultural industry. Facing a rapidly changing technological and urban environment, we ask how technology-enabled media, art, and design shape our understanding of society, and how we can contribute to its making as creative citizens.
