Adjunct Associate Professor (Part-time)

Introduction

MK joined RLP in 2008, took up the position of Director of Sustainable Design in 2012, and has been a Director of the firm since 2015, steering sustainable design in award-winning projects including ECHO House, Integral in Guilin, and Building 18W of the Hong Kong Science Park. Projects under his direct leadership include the award-winning Chai Wan Campus for THEi and Treehouse, the winning design in the future building category of the Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGBC)’s Advancing Net Zero Ideas Competition in 2021.

He also spearheads several influential research projects for the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, including the review of Building (Planning) regulations of Hong Kong, the formulation of an OpenBIM-based assessment tool for building permeability assessment, the Study for Design and Construction Requirements for Residential Buildings for Energy Efficiency, and the Study of Sponge City Concept application for Public Buildings in Hong Kong.
