Over the past decade, socially responsible design has emerged as a central focus in architectural research and practice. A growing number of architects now see themselves as stewards of the built environment and advocate for sustainable social development.

This seminar features two talks that engage with recent research aimed at generating new knowledge in design and planning to better address the needs of local communities and enhance their long-term prospects. The speakers will explore the significance of community participation and connections between physical and institutional designs, which are essential for advancing a habitable future amid the growing social and environmental challenges we face today.
