Prof. Hiroyuki Shinohara wins the CUHK Vice Chancellor’s Exemplary Teaching Award 2024. As the Director of our school’s BSSc Programme, Prof. Hiroyuki Shinohara is dedicated to enhancing the fundamental teaching in architectural education by helping our students to unlock their creative and professional potential. His teaching excellence is widely recognised by students and colleagues.
The Vice-Chancellor's Exemplary Teaching Award Scheme was launched in the year 1999 to give recognition to outstanding teachers. The award serves not only as a recognition of the contributions of the awardees in the area of teaching, but also reflects the University's commitment to providing quality education. The award was presented by Prof. Dennis Lo Yuk-ming, Vice-Chancellor and President of CUHK, and Prof. Isabella Poon Wai-yin, Provost, at the Inauguration Ceremony of Professorships and Presentation of Teaching and Research Awards on 9 April 2026.
