Why Study Architecture at CUHK?
The Master of Architecture (MArch) at CUHK is a two-year programme designed to provide students with an advanced educational experience focused on design and social innovation, specialised research, and critical thinking. The programme stresses the importance of architecture as a professional discipline concerned with design in diverse social contexts.

What We Do in the Programme?
The MArch programme at CUHK promotes the freedom of student-driven design experimentation and embraces social innovation through critical discourse. Our programme is designed to cultivate advanced technological skills, cross-disciplinary expertise, and expanded modes of practice, centered around the design of objects, environments, and buildings.
Our curriculum encourages students to challenge convention and push the boundaries of architectural thought and practice. By integrating cutting-edge technology and collaborative approaches, we equip our future architects with tools to empathize, design, prototype, and innovate. Students engage in a dynamic learning environment where they explore architectural expression and address the pressing issues facing society today.

Admissions
Application for admission to the MArch programme for academic year 2026-27 should be submitted via the Graduate School Online Application System no later than 31 January 2026 (1st Round) or 31 March 2026 (2nd Round). Early applications are strongly encouraged.
In addition to fulfilling the Entry Requirements of the University, applicants should have completed a pre-professional architecture degree, such as BSSc (Architectural Studies) from CUHK, RIBA-validated Part I degree, or equivalent.
Applicants should upload their supporting materials to our Application Materials Collection Platform no later than 31 January 2026 (1st Round) or 31 March 2026 (2nd Round).
Candidates will be invited for an interview and details will be announced in due course.

Provisional tuition fees for UGC-funded students and self-financed students in the academic year 2026-27 are HK$47,000 and HK$230,000 per annum respectively.
