Dr. Xinyu Liu is a researcher and part-time lecturer at the School of Architecture, The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), specialising in data-driven urban analytics. She holds a Ph.D. in Architecture from CUHK, with a solid academic background spanning urban planning and quantitative urban research.
Dr. Liu’s work focuses on the intersection of computational methods and human-centred urban design in high-density cities. Leveraging rigorous computational and data-driven workflows, her research investigates the intrinsic relationships between the street built environment, urban vitality, and quality of life. The overarching goal of her studies is to generate evidence-based design frameworks that contribute to sustainable high-density cities.
