The School of Architecture invites applications for the post of Lecturer to assist in developing and delivering the newly established Undergraduate Minor Programme in Creative Sustainable Arts Technology, offered in collaboration with the School of Journalism and Communication. This interdisciplinary programme bridges communication and design through a social science lens, equipping students with knowledge and skills in digital media, AI tools, and sustainable design practices. The initiative aligns with the University’s Strategic Plan, promoting innovation, global engagement, and sustainability, while addressing growing student demand and market needs in these emerging fields.
The appointee is expected to
- Support the planning, development, and coordination of the new Minor Programme;
- Contribute to teaching and curriculum design in areas such as digital creativity, sustainable design, emerging arts and media technologies, as well as their related histories and theories; and
- Participate in programme administration, student advising, and collaborative activities between the two Schools.
Applicants should:
- Possess a Master’s degree or preferably a PhD degree in architecture, communication, media arts, design technology, or a related discipline.
- at least 4 years of post-Master relevant experience;
- Demonstrate teaching experience and/or professional practice in design, digital media, creative technology, spatial design, sustainability-related areas or a related field; and
- Show a strong commitment to interdisciplinary education, curriculum innovation, and student engagement.
Applicants with relevant experience in interdisciplinary teaching, creative media applications, or socially engaged design will be highly regarded.
Appointments will initially be made on a contract basis for up to three years, renewable subject to performance and mutual agreement.

The School of Architecture is seeking an outstanding candidate to make significant contributions to research and teaching of Digital Technology and Computational Design, expanding ongoing explorations in design for robotic construction and innovation in the construction industry.
The appointees will advance an individual research agenda focused on academic contributions and experimental applications, building research collaborations within the University and beyond.
Applicants should (i) have a PhD degree in a subject area relevant to architecture, digital design or other related areas OR (ii) a professional Master’s degree in architecture and not less than 4 years (with professional registration) or 6 years (without professional registration) of practical experience in architecture thereafter.
Applicants with international recognition in the field will be highly appreciated. Preference will be given to candidates with an excellent record of studio teaching and research.
Appointments will normally be made on contract basis for up to three years initially, which, subject to performance, funding availability and mutual agreement, may lead to longer-term appointment or substantiation later. Outstanding candidates may be considered for substantive appointment upon initial appointment.
