Date & Time
18.09.2019 24.09.2019Location
Ocean Terminal, Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong KongThe “Nine Wooden Chairs” exhibition showcases chairs designed by nine of 27 past awardees of the Wharf Architectural Design Internship Programme, including four CUHK architecture alumni: Kenneth Wong (MArch 2011), Ruth Poon (MArch 2012), Joyce Mok (MArch 2013) and Eunice Yeung (MArch 2013). Each chair expresses the designer’s thoughts and vision from their overseas internship experience, demonstrating their observations, passion and reflection on architecture in relation to the increasingly “glocalising” design scene.
Founded by the Wharf ArchDesign Resource Trust in 2011, the Programme aims at nurturing young architects in Hong Kong, providing opportunities for local architectural postgraduates to work in leading architectural firms overseas with full financial support.
