How do architectural concepts engage meaningfully with the city and inspire everyday life? We believe it involves the process of crafting imaginative ideas into innovative designs leading to real-world impact, whether materialised as a sustainably designed building, a product that improves our quality of life, or a community project that enhances social engagement.

The School of Architecture at CUHK is celebrating its 25th anniversary with the theme of “Imagine. Innovate. Impact.”, featuring two exhibitions of alumni works in the 2016-17 academic year. To illustrate to the public how creative architectural ideas can relate to society through a wide range of design formats, we are calling for submissions of personal/corporate projects by our alumni that address one or more of the following aspects:

Impact of design on society and the environment
Innovative design as an attitude towards life
Imaginative design that envisions a better future
