Professor Zhu Jingxiang teaches architecture design, materials and construction. His research is in the area of design methodology, new articulation of structures and space, and study of vernacular architecture.

Before joined CUHK as assistant professor in 2004, he designed and constructed a number of public buildings in the city of Yancheng within ten years. Through the explorations of spatial organization, material fabric and structural technique, his work demonstrates a positive influence that the individual architect can exert on the urban and architectural development in a small city. This professional work has been exhibited in Beijing , Berlin , Shanghai , and Shenzhen.
