Li Shiqiao's research is focused on two areas: modernity and architecture (European and early twentieth-century Chinese manifestations), and urban theory ( Asian “ Megacities ” ). He teaches habitation and architectural history and theory. Li Shiqiao obtained his BA from Tsinghua University in Beijing , and PhD from AA School of architecture and Birkbeck College , University of London . He practiced in Hong Kong from 1995 to 2000; he is co-founder of BHSL Design and winner of several international design awards. He taught at AA School of Architecture in London and National University of Singapore. He has been at CUHK since 2006.
